The ongoing Corona Bubble series of photos created by Miami-based photographer George Kamper
highlights how his creativity was sparked during the quarantine. George and his wife Sherryl, chose to shoot in and around their house and the nearby beach (once they opened the beaches). This series features a humorous approach to self isolation and what's become known as the "Bubble Boy". The photos are a fun approach to reinforcing self isolating during the Corona lock down.
The main challenges for creating these include that only the two of them work on creating the photos, and he's actually inside the bubble (most peeps thought it was all Photoshop….) The bubble has a big zipper that can only be accessed from the outside, so he can’t get in and out without Sherryl’s help. He runs out of air in 15 minutes or so, and it gets very hot inside the bubble. He's pushing the button on the shutter and running the camera remotely from inside the bubble. Sherryl is art directing from outside the bubble, posing in some, and helping with all the propping and styling.
We will be featuring more from this fun series, including the behind the scenes videos to show all the fun that goes into making 'the shot'.
