🛠️ Lincoln Durham Brings “Seeing is Believing” to Life for ViaLase and Schaefer Advertising
Schaefer Advertising and ViaLase needed a compelling visual story that embodied the spirit of “Seeing is Believing.” Lincoln Durham took on the challenge, bringing an unexpected yet perfect mascot to the project—a yeti.
Lincoln sculpted the yeti (originally envisioned as a Sasquatch or Bigfoot) in ZBrush, along with its distinctive snow print. He then rigged, added hair, and rendered the character in Cinema 4D. To enhance the wintery atmosphere, he used X-Particles for clouds and snow, seamlessly compositing everything in After Effects. The medical device and procedural animation featured in the video had been previously modeled and animated for the same client, allowing for an efficient workflow. Sound design combined mostly stock audio effects with original elements, all mixed in Logic. The remaining animation work was polished in After Effects.
Despite the fast-paced timeline, the project was an exciting creative challenge. Lincoln appreciated the balance of clear direction and creative freedom, allowing him to push the animation to its fullest potential. The result? A visually captivating piece that reinforced ViaLase’s message through dynamic storytelling and technical expertise.
